About Reverend Bill Teyssier, Minister of Spiritual Science

About Me

Hello, I’m Reverend Bill Teyssier., an ordained Minister of Spiritual Science. My goal is to provide a personalized and unique experience for your wedding ceremony and vows.

My Spiritual Science background allows me to support couples of all backgrounds to have a spiritual connection during their wedding ceremony. My Spiritual Science education began at The Baltimore Spiritual Science Center and I was ordained a Minister of Spiritual Sciences in May of 2002. My first wedding was performed the next month and with great joy, I never looked back. It has also been a joy to work with each and every couple and an honor to unite them in marriage. Since then I have provided wedding officiant services for 600+ weddings and sacraments in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC.

“We met with one other officiant before we met with Bill. We felt like a number with the other officiant. When we met with Bill we left knowing he was the perfect fit for us. It was important for us to have someone that was excited and appreciated being able to share in the joy of our day. He was very professional, and organized as well. He provided us with a list of samples to help us with the ceremony readings. Also he was very responsive throughout the whole process! We are so glad we found him and he was the one that married us! Thank you Reverend Bill! – Kim

I am an active participant in Spiritual Science associations and currently the Facilitator of the Maryland Spiritual Science Center and President of the Board of Directors, The Spiritual Science Mother Church. Spiritual Science, both a religion and a philosophy, helps one to develop their own personal relationship with the Divine as well as the relationship that exists between all things in existence.

My Spiritual Science education began in 1998 with an intensive course of studies at the Baltimore Spiritual Science Center. I graduated in 2001 and entered their Ministerial program which resulted in being ordained as a Minister of Spiritual Science in 2002. Concurrently to my studies at the Baltimore Spiritual Science Center, I was also a teacher at the Silentlight International School of Spiritual Science. After ordination, I became a 2nd and 4th year teacher at the Baltimore Spiritual Science Center. I also became the facilitator of the Silent Light Spiritual Science Center and The Maryland Spiritual Science Center.

In 2018, I became a Trustee on the Board of Directors of The Spiritual Science Mother Church, based in New York City and today oversee as the President.

Praise from Happy Couples

“We absolutely love Reverend Teyssier. We had some very specific requests with our ceremony. We wanted to mention family members, pets, and all sorts of stuff and he made it come together beautifully. He was a huge part of our special day and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
– Eva

“It was such a blessing to be able to work with Rev.Bill to make our wedding day so very special! He was always a phone call away if we had any questions and met with us several times to help us with details. He was extremely flexible and from the beginning made it clear that our wedding day was about us and our vision and that he was there to help. He even gave us a book of every possible option imaginable so we could put together our own unique and very personal ceremony. Priceless! Even until the very end he was very patient and supportive and even gave us our own copy of the ceremony printed on beautifully decorated paper for us to keep. We would highly recommend him for your wedding. We wouldn’t have changed a thing!”
– Allison

“Rev Bill was referred to us by our wedding planner who had worked with him many times before. He met with my fiancé and I in person, took detailed notes on our wishes for the ceremony. He provides all couples with a book full of different options- I copied and pasted our own ceremony and he put his finishing touches on everything for an absolutely perfect ceremony. We didn’t want anything too long; what I had put together was about 20 minutes. He read it slowly and clearly-I received many comments on how no one had ever heard those words before and how beautiful the ceremony was. He attends the rehearsal and gives pointers and is on time and sharp for the ceremony. He filled out our marriage license immediately after the ceremony and mailed it, along with giving us the original copy and a copy of our ceremony and a list of helpful hints on what we’ll need a court certified copy of our license for and how to change my name legally. He was amazing and I would highly recommend Rev Bill if you live in the Maryland! “

“Reverend Bill T was perfect to work with as our wedding officiant! My husband is Jewish and I am Christian, so we wanted to craft a mixed religion ceremony and allow for our own personal touches. Bill provided a really helpful set of recommendations that gave us great ideas and suggested language to design our own personalized wedding ceremony. We really appreciated his guidance throughout the process and ability to let us work the ceremony exactly how we wanted.
Our wedding ceremony went off without any issues; Bill was incredibly professional, timely, courteous, and super helpful in terms of all ceremony-related details (e.g., walking order, timing, etc). I highly recommend!”

“My fiancee and I were both raised Catholic but had very little interest in doing the wedding the Catholic church for many reasons. Our families weren’t extremely thrilled by this so we needed to make sure the officiant we choose would let us have a lot of control over the ceremony to make sure we worked in the religious traditions where necessary. Rev. Bill did just this! He was very willing incorporate all much or as little religion into our ceremony as we wanted. He was a pleasure to work with!!” – Sarah

“I 100% Recommend Reverend Bill. He holds special ceremonies based on the couple. He becomes, almost like a writer, captivated by your love story and speaks it with true beauty in his ceremony. Kyle and I got married at the Chesepeake Beach Club, Kent Island. Reverend Bill met with us in person after message exchanges. He was flexible and drove an hour and a half to meet us in Annapolis, just an hour from where we live. So he met us more than half way and we appreciated that. At the Starbucks we all talked for over an hour. Intrigued by his spiritual journey with God and traveling to appreciate him in all religions shapes and forms. His long tenure in marrying couples too. Kyle and I felt blessed just talking with him. We met other Reverends and just felt like it was more about putting on a production.
Rev Bill wanted to get to know us as who we are and what makes us the couple we are so happy to be today. So we gave him our 10 years of dating since college stories and how we knew our love could weather any storm. We just wanted to get married by someone who understood we are not tied to any religion right now, but believe in God and can respect our upbringing in the Catholic church and Kyle when he practiced Lutheran. We also wanted to share our new life on the bay in Maryland. He helped us tie in our love of the water, fishing, boating and just spending time together on it. It was a blessing to have our closest loved ones there to see us do our nautical tying the knot ceremony that Reverend customized from a ‘hand fasting’ ritual for us.” – Sarah

“Rev Bill helped us put together a beautiful wedding ceremony. He was easy to get in touch with and he knew exactly what we wanted. We were married outdoors and because we are Catholic a priest was not able to marry us, but Rev Bill was able to make it a very traditional Christian ceremony. It was truly wonderful.”
